The installation procedure for lumineers is slightly different from porcelain veneers. To install porcelain veneers, the dentist will have to prepare the teeth by removing a thin layer of enamel. In other words, the teeth have to be ground down in order to install porcelain veneers. However, this is not required in the case of lumineers. They can be directly installed over the prepared teeth. For this reason, the procedure to install them is much simpler and faster when compared to dental veneers.

Lumineers can cost around $750-$1500 per tooth. On the other hand, dental veneers can cost up to $2000 per tooth.
