Cosmetic dentistry is the branch of dentistry that deals with restoring natural appearance and improving the beauty of the face by using dental procedures. Improvements have also been made in the procedures and surgical techniques. Diagnostic techniques are also being constantly improved. Almost all diagnostic tools available today are computerised. These are not only much faster, but are also very efficient and reliable. For instance, these days computerised x-rays are very common. These have much higher clarity and are also cheaper than traditional photographic film based x-rays scans.

In the near future, we can expect several new improvements in the field of cosmetic dentistry. Technology is moving ahead at a phenomenal rate. Newer technologies and materials are being constantly discovered and developed. In the future, cosmetic dental procedures will not only be cheaper but will also be much more effective. Everyone will be able to afford them.
